I was listening to Patrick Lencioni’s podcast, At the Table titled The Power of Nothing. In this episode, Pat and his team discuss the benefits of sitting in silence and organizing your thoughts, and why leaders and employees tend to avoid distraction-free time.
One thought caught my ear – Pat talks about how, pre-COVID, he would go mass every day at noon, and how during that time, he sat in silence and felt calmed and refreshed.
It made me think – what if we all created our own “personal mass” each day. It doesn’t need to be religious, just a few moments when we sit in silence and learn to feel calmed and refreshed.
